Reflexology to support grief is a gentle and connecting tool to help move grief through your mind, body, and spirit. Gentle techniques to provide profound relaxation and stress reduction are the signature effects of this ancient modality. As an ancient tool that has been passed down in families, developed by professionals, and existing in all cultures, reflexology is universally accepted as a way to care for yourself and others.

During this workshop you will learn basic techniques that make reflexology unique, as well as several relaxation and transitional tools. We will focus on hands for our time together. Hand reflexology makes it easier for more people to receive care, and it allows you to support individuals who can’t have their feet touched.

Your instructor, Adrienne/Addy C. Caldwell, has been a practitioner for 39 years, and became a professional, board certified reflexologist 20 years ago. It has been their privilege to teach at professional schools, and support many practitioners to become professional reflexologists that go on to earn board certification. Adrienne has extensive experience and training in supporting people as they navigate grief and loss through bodywork.

Adrienne currently practices at SuNu Wellness in Minnetonka, MN, and occasionally offers classes when the need arises. It is their pleasure to offer this workshop at The Grief Room.

Class size is limited to 10 people total.

  • Nov (Saturdays) - Dropping In: Fall Writing Series with Sara Perry

    REGISTER AND LEARN MORE, HERE!

    Saturdays, September 13th & 20th, October 4th-November 29th

    10:00 AM - 11:30 AM

You spend so much of your time caring for others, making space for their needs, their feelings, and their voices.

    But what about yours?

If your voice has taken a back seat — if your needs are often the last on your list — this is an invitation to come home to yourself through writing.

Don’t wait until you have the motivation to do it yourself. This Fall Writing Circle was created to bring more ease to the process.

Write What Wants to Be Said

You've already got stories inside of you. You've got wisdom that only needs to be accessed.

This is not about being a “good writer.”
    It’s about being honest.
It’s about creating a rhythm of self-connection through the simple act of showing up and putting pen to paper.

Each session offers thoughtful, guided freewriting, engagement, and space for whatever is stirring in you to emerge — without pressure or performance.

A little about the host Sara Perry

Sara is a multi-published inspirational writer, sometimes copywriter, and a thoughtful creative coach.

Sara hosts writing workshops in and around the Twin Cities, as well as creative retreats. She loves to facilitate spaces where creativity is fostered and self-connection is established.

  • Dec 7: The Grief Bowl Ceremony

    Sunday, December 7th | 1–3pm

    $30/per person

    *2 spots reserved for pay-what-you-can

Hosted by Cami Thelander, Advanced Certified Grief Coach & Founder of Embodied Grief Support

    REGISTER HERE!

Grief reshapes us, creating tender spaces inside that hold the weight of our loss and the depth of our love. The space grief opens within us is not emptiness, but a sacred container for all we’ve known and all we still carry: the memories, emotions, sorrows, and hopes that live within us. This is what I call The Grief Bowl—the tender place within that holds our love, our pain, and the transformation that emerges when we tend to them with care.

In this ceremony, you’ll be gently guided through the Grief Bowl practice, a mindful and embodied ritual that helps you tend to your grief with presence and compassion. Using a physical bowl as a symbol and container, you’ll be invited to name what is living within you—your emotions, memories, or stories—and place them into the bowl to be witnessed, honored, and held.

Your grief bowl becomes a tangible reminder that your grief has a place to go, that it can move and change, and that you can return to it whenever you need to reconnect, release, or remember. It serves as a mirror of your own capacity to hold love and sorrow side by side.

Together we’ll share stories, hold silence, and honor our individual and collective losses. You’ll be invited (but never required) to share what you’re carrying and to witness the stories of others. There is profound medicine in being seen and reminded that we do not grieve alone, with others who understand the language of loss.

    Our Time Together Includes:

    Grounding breathwork and guided meditation

The Grief Bowl ritual and reflection practice

Time for quiet writing and optional sharing

A circle of compassion, community, and connection

This is a gentle, welcoming space for anyone who is grieving—a loved one, a life transition, or any loss that has shaped you. You do not need to have prior experience with grief work or ceremony. Simply come as you are, with an open heart. Join us in this sacred space for release, remembrance, and renewal.

  • Nov & Dec - Breathwork & Reiki Circles for Mothers

For the mothers navigating long nights and early mornings, who are overstimulated by tiny hands and loud cries, holding grief for the version of themselves they barely remember.

For the ones managing daycare closures, recovering from birth trauma, feeling unseen on Mother's Day, or simmering in quiet rage while folding yet another load of laundry.

For the mothers who are touched-out, exhausted, and longing to be the one who is held, for once.

This circle is a place to lay it down.
    To move what’s been stuck.
    To breathe.
    To receive.

Through breathwork and Reiki, we’ll gently support the release of what your body has been holding — from rage to sorrow to sheer fatigue. You’ll leave feeling more grounded, connected, and cared for.

    Facilitated by:
Jenna Block – Mental Health Therapist, Reiki Master & Founder of The Grief Room
Anna Wright – Reiki Practitioner & Breathwork Facilitator
